Fredy von Hombracht has notified the Board of her desire to retire per 1 April 2019 as director / administrator of the NAI. The Board is extremely grateful to Fredy for the great role she has played over the past decades (and will continue to play in the coming months) in the development of the NAI.
With a view to attracting a new director / administrator, the Board decided at the request of the Advisory Council to resign earlier. As of 1 May 2018, the Board of the NAI will be composed as follows:

We wish the new board much success with the further development of the NAI as the prime body for private dispute resolution in the Netherlands.
Willem van Baren
One of CEPANI’s, the Belgium sister institute of the NAI, goals is to actively promote the knowledge and use of arbitration a.o. by encouraging the study of arbitration on a national and international level. CEPANI’s Academic Prize , which amounts to € 5.000, is awarded every three years. The competition is open to anyone who is under the age of 40 on the 1st of September of the year in which the prize is awarded, i.e. 1st of September 2018.
